Alignment Health Plan Recognized in Nevada and North Carolina for Excellence in 2021 Medicare Advantage Benefits Value

ORANGE, Calif. (Nov. 5, 2020) – Alignment Healthcare, a California-based Medicare Advantage company that recently announced expansion into Nevada and North Carolina, has been recognized for “Excellence in 2021 Medicare Advantage Benefits Value” by independent managed care research firm HealthMetrix Research Inc. Alignment Health Plan’s Platinum HMO $0 premium product in Las Vegas, and its NC Premier HMO $0 premium product in Raleigh, North Carolina, are the only Medicare Advantage plans to receive this distinction in their respective metropolitan areas.

Medicare-eligible residents in Alignment Health Plan’s service area – which includes Clark County in Nevada and Chatham, Johnston and Wake counties in North Carolina – can enroll in one of those plans during Medicare’s annual election period, which runs Oct. 15 through Dec. 7 for coverage that begins Jan. 1 of the following year.

The 24 honorees were selected from more than 100 Medicare managed care plans based on 2021 benefits and estimated annual cost-sharing approved by Medicare. HealthMetrix Research ranked Medicare plans with the lowest and highest estimated annual out-of-pocket costs using 2021 member copayments, deductibles and premiums found in the Medicare Plan Finder database at www.medicare.gov.
