Alignment to Provide Better Access to Health Care Services in East Los Angeles

To provide better access to health care services in East Los Angeles, Alignment Healthcare, Los Angeles Christian Health Centers (LACHC) and Mariners Church have partnered to host a free comprehensive health screening clinic for children and adults on Saturday, June 11, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Alignment Healthcare Center in East Los Angeles, located at 6201 Whittier Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90022. 

At the event, a team of high-quality medical and dental providers will offer free medical exams, routine blood work, dental fillings and dental extractions. The exams will also include cholesterol and diabetes screenings. There will also be free food, refreshments and children’s activities. For more information and to RSVP, please call 888-979-2247.

“We screened and treated many local residents at our last free health care event so we know that there is a great need for better access to basic health care services in the East Los Angeles community,” said Scott Reid, president of The Alignment Covenant, the non-profit arm of Alignment Healthcare. “This health fair will include even more no-cost services, especially dental procedures such as taking care of fillings and extractions.” 
The Alignment Covenant’s goal is to foster a culture of proactive care by providing free high-quality and comprehensive treatment for as many people as possible under the mission of “healing the world one community at a time.”

LACHC is a federally qualified health center serving more than 9,000 homeless and underserved men, women and children through two full-time clinics and 10 part-time satellite sites located in Skid Row, Boyle Heights and South Los Angeles. 

Mariners Church is a Christian-based institution with locations serving Irvine, Mission Viejo, Huntington Beach and Ocean Hills.
