Chief Information Officer

Rob Scavo is chief information officer for Alignment Health.

Mr. Scavo is responsible for Alignment’s information technology (IT) strategy and operations, including data, infrastructure and security. He has spent his 35+ year career in health care-related IT and has significant health care payer business operations and management experience leading some of the country's largest operational and IT transformations.

Before joining Alignment, Mr. Scavo was president and chief operating officer of Welltok, Inc., where he led the company’s top-line and operational functions for more than three years. Previously he served in several key roles in his 17-year tenure with TriZetto (now Cognizant), including leading TriZetto’s payer markets with overall accountability for business development and top-line growth for the company’s 350+ payer clients and approximately $1B in yearly revenue. At TriZetto, Mr. Scavo also held a variety of executive profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities as well as operational roles, including senior vice president and chief information officer, where he was responsible for both the company’s internal information technology as well as leadership of TriZetto's Hosting Services (SaaS) growing the unit from $8M to $28M in recurring revenue in three years.

Before joining TriZetto, he worked for PacifiCare Health Systems (now owned by UnitedHealthcare). He spent nearly eight years in the Health Services group of Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), helping health plan clients define and implement IT strategies.

Mr. Scavo graduated with honors from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
