David Hodgson has been with General Atlantic (GA) for more than 30 years, having joined the firm in 1982. He worked to build the GA partnership and was foundational in developing its focus of identifying and assisting companies globally in all areas of their growth.
Mr. Hodgson serves as a director of a number of public and private companies, including Alignment Healthcare, Hyperion Insurance Group, Pierpont Securities, and InsightExpress. He is chair of the board at TriNet (NYSE:TNET) and serves as Chair Emeritus of Johns Hopkins Medicine. He is a member of the Dartmouth College Board of Trustees and is co-chairman of the board of Echoing Green, a provider of fellowship support for entrepreneurs that he helped found in 1987.
Mr. Hodgson graduated summa cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1978, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics and social sciences. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and received the Kemeny Prize in computing at his alma mater. He earned an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 1982.
